Sgurr Fhuaran
(Scour Ouran)

The highest peak of the Five Sisters Ridge, Sgurr Fhuaran (also known as Scour Ouran) is located a half-mile (1 km) north northeast of Sgurr na Carnach and a mile (1.5 km) south southeast of Sgurr nan Saighead in the National Trust for Scotland property of Kintail Forest, east of Glen Shiel and within the Lochalsh district of Highland Council Area. The sides from the ridge fall steeply with an average angle of around 30 degrees. Sgurr Fhuaran rises to a height of 1067m (3501 feet) and its name originates from Gaelic but its meaning is obscure.
