Established in 1825, the Edradour Distillery comprises a group of picturesque white-washed buildings located in Milton of Edradour, a mile (1.5 km) east of Pitlochry in Perth and Kinross. It takes its name from the burn that flows through it and claims to be the smallest distillery in Scotland, with an annual output of only 240,000 bottles. It retains its original still-house and boasts the only old-style refrigerated wort cooler still in use today.

It was Edradour whisky which comprised much of the cargo of the SS Politician which famously ran aground on Eriskay in 1941. The whisky was salvaged by the islanders and the incident was recorded in Compton Mackenzie's book Whisky Galore (1946).
