Glenhowl Hill

A little whaleback of limited prominence in The Machars of Galloway, Glenhowl Hill rises to just beyond 60m (196 feet) to the south of the Tarf Water, opposite Barlennan Hill, a half-mile (1 km) south southwest of Kirkcowan. This is part of an extensive drumlin field and has its principal axis aligned NNE-SSW suggesting the direction of ice flow of an ancient glacier.
