Parish of KilwinningKilwinning is a parish, which lies in North Ayrshire Council Area, some 4 miles (6 km) north of Irvine and 5 miles (9 km) northeast of Saltcoats in North Ayrshire.
It is located in the old county of Ayrshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 44.8 sq. km (17.3 sq. miles). Kilwinning has 6 neighbouring parishes; namely Ardrossan, Beith, Dalry, Irvine, Stevenston and Stewarton.
