Parish of OrphirOrphir is a coastal island parish, which lies in Orkney Council Area, some 6 miles (10 km) east of Stromness and 6 miles (10 km) west of Kirkwall in Orkney and includes another small offshore island.
It is located in the old county of Orkney, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 52.5 sq. km (20.2 sq. miles). Orphir has Firth, Kirkwall & St Ola and Stenness as its neighbouring parishes.
