Kirkton of Logie Buchan (Logie Buchan)
AberdeenshireA hamlet with a church in the Formartine District of east Aberdeenshire, the Kirkton of Logie-Buchan lies to the south of the River Ythan, a mile (1.5 km) east of Ellon. Alexander Arbuthnott (1538-83), the first Protestant Principal of King's College, Aberdeen, was minister here from 1568 until his death. The present parish church dates from 1787.
