Baldovie
Dundee City

A northeastern district of Dundee, which developed from a hamlet situated on the Fithie Burn 1½ miles (2.5 km) north northwest of Broughty Ferry, Baldovie is now principally an industrial estate. This includes a large tyre manufacturing plant (with associated wind turbines), offshore oil-related industries and a large waste-to-energy facility, which opened in 1999, replacing an incinerator which closed in 1996 due to its inability to meet emission standards.
