Liff
Angus

A small village in the parish of Liff and Benvie, SW Angus, Liff lies nearly 5 miles (8 km) northwest of Dundee. Liff has greatly expanded since the late 1990s as a dormitory settlement for the city. To the north are the settlements of Muirhead of Liff and Backmuir of Liff, while to the east is the former Royal Dundee Liff Hospital (which opened as Westgreen in the 1880s), much of which is being redeveloped as housing. In private grounds to the south stands the House of Gray which was built to a design by Alex McGill and John Strachan for the 12th Lord Gray in 1716.
