Harray
OrkneyA scattered settlement in the west of Orkney Mainland, Harray is located 6 miles (10 km) northeast of Stromness. The Loch of Harray lies a mile (1.5 km) to the west. Journalist and broadcaster Magnus Linklater was born here in 1942 and his father, the author Eric Linklater, lies buried in the churchyard.
