A settlement comprising a modern housing development, Strathallan Village (or Strathallan Bank) is located a half-mile (1 km) southwest of Forgandenny (Perth and Kinross). Comprising eighteen luxury houses and a small office complex, the settlement was built 2006-07 on the site of the former Ardargie Sawmill, which closed in 1999. The office complex is intended to give residents access to business facilities, including a meeting room, within their community. The name derives from the developers, the Strathallan Property Group, and the nearby school, rather than the locality of Strathallan, which lies 9 miles (15 km) to the west.
