James Hogg is also remembered at the site of his birth place. A large red sandstone monument and a semi-circular seating area, stand proudly in memory of this great ancester of mine.
The monument can be found to the west of Ettrick Village. The house of his birth is no longer standing. - robertscott.hogg@ntlworld.com
