Duntrune Community Garden

(Duntrune Demonstration Garden)

Located within Dawson Park, Dundee, Duntrune Community Garden (previously known as Duntrune Demonstration Garden) is intended to inspire visitors in terms of their own gardens, in terms of design, plantings and vegetable cultivation. The garden is designed around a central pergola, with areas such as the traditional front, back and kitchen gardens are all represented. There is also a therapeutic garden, gravel bed with water feature, heather garden and herbaceous borders.

Owned by Dundee City Council, the gardens are maintained in partnership with the Scottish Association for Mental Health. The garden is open to the public year-round and entry is free. There are regular practical demonstrations providing visitors with information about planting, vegetable growing, lawn-care and other aspects of horticulture.
