Fell of Carleton


(Carleton Fell)

A hill of SW Dumfries and Galloway, the Fell of Carleton rises steeply from the eastern shore of Luce Bay to reach a height of 144m (472 feet), 3 miles (5 km) southwest of Whithorn. It extends to the rear to a loftier summit of 146m (480 feet) which is marked by an Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar.
