Stoer Peninsula (Stoer Head) A significant peninsula in W Sutherland (Highland), the Stoer Peninsula (also Stoer Head) lies 6 miles (10 km) northwest of Lochinver, between Clashnessie Bay and the Bay of Stoer. It terminates at the Point of Stoer in the northwest. Several small settlements are located on the peninsula; namely Achnacarnin, Balchladich, Culkein and Raffin, with Clashnessie and Stoer at its neck.
