A hill draped in plantation forestry on the border between Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders Council Areas, Cross Hill rises to 442m (1450 feet) a half-mile (0.8 km) southwest of Over Dalgliesh and 6 miles (10 km) north of Eskdalemuir.
