One of the Hills of Cromdale, Creag an Tarmachain lies on the border of Highland and Moray Council Areas, between Strathspey and Strath Avon. The peak rises to 646m (2119 feet), 4 miles (6 km) southwest of Bridge of Avon and 8 miles (13 km) northeast of Grantown-on-Spey.
