Dun I

(Dun Hill)

A rocky hill and noted viewpoint at the northern end of the island of Iona, Dun I (pronounced dun-ee) rises to 100m (328 feet) a half-mile (1 km) north of Baile Mor and Iona Abbey. It is the highest summit on the island. Nearby is the Well of Eternal Youth, while to the southwest are the circular remains of a supposed Hermit's Cell.
