Loch of Watlee

A small loch in centre of the island of Unst in Shetland, the Loch of Watlee lies just to the west of the A968 road, 2½ miles (4 km) southwest of Baltasound. The loch supports a recreational fishery for brown trout. The best fishing is said to be found around the solitary island of Little Holm, while a thumbs-up shaped peninsula extends into the loch from its eastern shore.
