Eglin Lane

A small river principally running through East Ayrshire, the Eglin Lane rises in Loch Enoch in Dumfries and Galloway. It flows north, forming the boundary between the two Council Areas for 2¼ miles (3.5 km). Within East Ayrshire, it merges with the Black Garpel which discharges from Loch Macaterick, and finally with the Whitespout Lane to form the Carrick Lane deep within the Carrick Forest, having completed a course of 6 miles (9.5 km).
