A summit in the SW Scottish Borders, Black Knowe Head rises to 591m (1938 feet) 1¼ miles (2 km) east of the border with Dumfries and Galloway, and 7½ miles (12 km) northeast of Moffat. Another Black Head Knowe lies 10 miles (16 km) to the northeast.
