A river in Dumfries and Galloway, The Lane has its source as Glenamour Loch, 2½ miles (4 km) east northeast of Newton Stewart, from which it flows southwest and then south southeast for 3¾ miles (6 km) to enter the Cree Estuary a mile (1.5 km) southwest of Palnure.
