Sandbed Street Bridge

(Old Bridge, Town Bridge)

The oldest surviving bridge in Kilmarnock (East Ayrshire), the Sandbed Street Bridge (occasionally known as the Old Bridge or Town Bridge) crosses the Kilmarnock Water in the town centre, linking Sandbeg Street with Bank and Strand Streets. This C-listed structure dates from around 1762 and comprises a single segmental arch built of coursed sandstone, with a droved rubble parapet.
