One of the Burnt Islands scattered across the Kyles of Bute at the mouth of Loch Riddon, Eilean Fraoich ('Heather Island') lies to the west of the group, a quarter-mile (0.5 km) east of Buttock Point and a mile (1.7 km) northwest of Colintraive. This rocky islet is uninhabited, supporting only a few trees.
