A series of steep slopes to the south of Stonehaven in SE Aberdeenshire, Bervie Braes descend to the north from Stonehaven War Memorial on Black Hill, extending between Downie Point in the east and the Burn of Glaslaw in the west. A succession of landslips occurred here in 2010, resulting in the evacuation of 65 homes, despite requests in 2007 from the local authority to the Scottish Government to fund stabilisation works.
