One of a line of summits on the western side of the Doon Valley in East Ayrshire, Auchenroy Hill rises to 367m (1204 feet) a quarter-mile (0.5 km) southwest of Auchenroy and 2 miles (3 km) west of Dalmellington. Woodland occupies its eastern slopes, while a plantation forest lies to the south.
