Barr River

A stream of E Islay, Argyll and Bute, the Barr River rises in Loch Leathann and flows east for a short distance before turning southeast and then southwest for the majority of its course of 3½ miles (5.5 km). It passes to the west of Barr and joins with the Cattadale River to form the River Laggan a quarter-mile (0.5 km) west of Cattadale. Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 scale maps erroneous show the upper Barr River as a more southerly stream than that recorded on other maps.
