A little stream which issues from the tiny Dow Loch on the northern slopes of Snibe Hill in N Dumfries and Galloway and falls sharply to the east losing more than a 150m (500 feet) in height to become the Dow Burn. It continues east to fall into the Cooran Lane, having completed a course of a mile (1.5 km).
