Situated on the southern shore of Loch Etive, Airds Bay lies a quarter mile (0.5 km) north of the settlement of Taynuilt and a mile (1.5 km) southeast of Airds Point, Argyll and Bute. Airds Bay House lies on its western shore, while the mouth of the River Awe demarks its eastern extent.
