An ancient stone circle in NW Dundee, Balgarthno Stone Circle is located in parkland between South Road and Kingsway West, to the west of Charleston. It comprises nine stones, which are all recumbent, some vandalised and the site damaged by ploughing, the circle is 6.1m (20 feet) in diameter. It was first described in the 18th century by the parish minister, Rev. Thomas Constable, as "a druidical temple". The circle is now enclosed by a fence for its protection.
