The Cairn

A summit which represents the highest point on Ailsa Craig in the Firth of Clyde, The Cairn reaches a height of 340m (1115 feet) in the centre of the island. An Ordnance Survey primary triangulation pillar was installed 1948-49 close to the summit, at a height of 339m (1110 feet). The tiny Garra Loch lies to the southeast of the summit.
