Winterhope Burn

An early tributary of the Kirtle Water in E Dumfries and Galloway, the Winterhope Burn rises between Doe's Hill and Mid Hill, before flowing south southeast and south, collecting several tributaries, before flowing into the Winterhope Reservoir. It leaves the reservoir flowing west southwest for only a quarter-mile (0.4 km) before falling into the Kirtle Water having completed a course of only 1½ miles (2.5 km).
