Battery Hill

A summit overlooking the town of Oban in Argyll and Bute, Battery Hill reaches a height of 69m (227 feet) immediately to the east of the town centre. A prominent landmark known as McCaig's Tower was built around its summit between 1895 and 1902. The Ordnance Survey plan of 1868 for Oban shows "The Battery" in front of the summit.
