One of seven Munro peaks on the South Glen Shiel Ridge, Creag a' Mhaim rises to a height of 946m (3104 feet) in the Inverness district of Highland Council Area. Its northeastern slopes are particularly steep and its name is derived from the Gaelic for 'rock of the large rounded hill'.
