Fairlie Sands

A beach and area of sand occupying a shallow tidal bay on the eastern shore of the Firth of Clyde, the Fairlie Sands extend north from the Hunterston Terminal to Fairlie Pier. In winter the sands are noted for wading birds (especially Greenshank) and sea duck.
