A location in West Lothian, Brotherton represents an area of greenspace between Polbeth and Brucefield, but has long been zoned for development to form a southwesterly neighbourhood of Livingston. Brotherton Farm occupies the area, extending from the A71 road to Alba Business Park in the north. Development has been resisted to prevent the merging of Polbeth and Livingston.
