Whitepark Hill

A teardrop-shaped summit on the eastern edge of Castle Douglas in Dumfries and Galloway, Whitepark Hill rises to 76m (249 feet) and comprises a well-defined drumlin, one of a number in this area, deposited under an ancient ice sheet and aligned N-S, with well-developed tail, both suggesting the direction of ice flow of an ancient ice sheet. Its western slopes have been developed with housing.
