Troon Point

A rock-trimmed headland which forms a natural breakwater protecting Troon Harbour and Marina from the southwest on the coast of South Ayrshire, Troon Point separates North Bay from South Bay, to the west of the town centre. The headland has been adapted over the years to improve the harbour, including the building of the Ballast Bank along its southwestern shore and the construction of warehouses and a railway line.
