An electoral ward and housing scheme in Dundee, The Glens lies between Strathmore Avenue and Clepington Road, 1½ miles (2.5 km) northwest of the city centre. Located between St. John's Roman Catholic Secondary School and King's Cross Hospital, the area takes its name from its street names; namely Glentruim Terrace, Glenmarkie Terrace, Glenogil Avenue, Glenmoy Avenue, Glenclova Terrace, Glenprosen Drive and Glenprosen Terrace. Built as public housing, the properties comprise four-flat blocks surrounding large areas of undivided greenspace. Many have been sold under right-to-buy legislation.
