Temple Locks

A pair of locks with a 174-m / 570-foot basin between on the course of the Forth & Clyde Canal in Glasgow, Temple Locks lie to the west of Maryhill, 3 miles (5 km) west of the city centre. Opened with the canal in 1790, they rise from west to east, and are numbered No. 26 and 27. Clobberhill Locks are located 1½ miles (2.2 km) to the northwest, while Maryhill Locks are situated ¾ miles (1.2 km) to the east.
