One of two identical memorials on opposite sides of the Firth of Tay, Tay Bridge Disaster Memorial (Dundee) comprises three grey-granite slabs, each some 2.4 m / 8 feet in height, located on Riverside Drive overlooking the Tay Bridge. Both commemorate the Tay Bridge Disaster of 1879 and the 59 known victims (of a possible total of 75) whose names are inscribed on the slabs. The memorials were unveiled on 28th December 2013, the 134th anniversary of the tragedy, the work of the Tay Rail Bridge Disaster Memorial Trust.
