Sorn Castle lies 4 miles (6 km) east of Mauchline in East Ayrshire Council Area and is centred around a 15th century tower castle with later additions. Built by the Hamiltons, it has also been a Campbell of Loudoun home since 1680 and is now owned by the MacInytres.
