Kearvaig (Gael. Amhuinn Chearbhaig), a rivulet in Durness parish, NW Sutherland, issuing from triangular Loch na Gainmhich (3¼ x 3¼ furl.; 790 feet), and running 6 miles north-north-westward to the sea, at a point 2½ miles ESE of Cape Wrath. It is ascended by sea-trout and a few grilse, but is seldom visited by anglers.Ord. Sur., sh. 113, 1882.
