Farraline, Loch, a lake of Dores parish, NE Inverness-shire, 3 miles E by S of Inverfarigaig. Lying 650 feet above sea-level, it has an utmost length and width of 9 and 2½ furlongs, abounds in trout, and sends off a stream 33/8 miles north-north-eastward to the Farigaig. A number of muskets, discovered here in 1841, in the course of drainage operations, were supposed to have been thrown into the loch during the troubles of the '45.Ord. Sur., sh. 73, 1878.
