Nicholas (Nick) Eardley


1987 -

Journalist. Born in Edinburgh, Eardley was educated at St. Thomas of Aquin's High School in the Lauriston district of the city. He went on to read history and politics the University of Edinburgh and journalism at Napier University, graduating in 2011. Eardley worked for The Scotsman newspaper before joining the BBC in 2014, initially part of their online team based in London. He was appointed BBC Scotland's Westminster Correspondent in 2015 and rose to become the BBC's Chief Political Correspondent in 2022.
