St Drostan's Chapel

A ruined place of worship now trapped between the modern A9 trunk road and the B9152 (old A9), a half-mile (1 km) southwest of Kincraig in Highland, St. Drostan's Chapel most-likely dates from the 16th C and is surrounded by a small graveyard. It was roofless and became a mausoleum by the end of the 18th C., with a memorial plaque still visible commemorating "Capt George Mackintosh Sixtieth Regiment of Foot. He dyed the Eight of March 1780 of his age 66th year." Mackintosh was a scion of the local landowners. It is now B-listed.
