The said derived name of Ben McDui is intriguing. One of my
family names is McDuie and its gaelic origins relate to the
dark one, hence interesting the mountain is connected to "dark pig"
I have searched and searched as I feel there must be some
connection to our family name. Would it be possible for some
history buff to delve into this and further the mystery of the
name of the origin of this mountain name.
