Minishant

South Ayrshire

A hamlet in the Carrick district of Ayrshire, Minishant lies to the west of the River Doon and the village of Dalrymple, 3 miles (5 km) northeast of Maybole. Once a granary for the monks at Crossraguel Abbey, to the southwest of Maybole, it was later an important wool production centre with a waulkmill that is now a village hall.
