Cleadale, Eigg, with An Cruachan to the right

A township that represents the largest settlement on the island of Eigg in Highland Council Area, Cleadale occupies a dramatic position below the scarp slopes of Sgorr an Fharaidh on the northwest side of the island. Located here is a small Roman Catholic church dedicated to St. Donnan. Dating from 1910 this church should not be confused with Mediaeval church dedicated to the same saint at Kildonnan. The church here was added to the Buildings at Risk Register in 1998 and the adjacent priest's house is derelict.
