Auckengill is a scattered farming community located 6 miles (9 km) south of John o' Groats on the eastern coastline of Caithness in Highland Council Area. Places of interest include the John Nicolson Museum (now the Northlands Viking Centre), statues erected nearby by the 19th Century Caithness antiquarian John Nicolson and a Broch.
