The village of Whitehills is located 2 miles (3 km) northwest of Banff, on the northern coastline of Aberdeenshire. Associated with the fishing industry, Whitehills still retains its own fishing fleet and markets are held here when the fish land. The village is located near to Knock Head, where it is claimed grey rats first entered Scotland.
